500 seeds come in a 7 grams pouch. The leaves resemble European parsley leaves in shape but this plant has a pungent, sweet-musky odor and taste that cooks love. Descriptions of the flavor of the leaves vary from citrusy with a biting tang. Used in latin american recipes, asian and french gourmet meals. After 7 days or less, under the soil the cilantro should have a white sprout coming out of the seed. You can check by gently uncovering the soil with your fingers and exposing the seed. After another 2-3 days, you should see a green sprout pushing through the soil.

    Variety habits and uses

Parsley thrives in adaptable, sunny conditions with continuously moist, well-drained, and irrigated soil. This aromatic and nutritious herb is commonly used in special dishes, as a decorative element, or in salads. The fresh leaves and petioles are the main edible parts, known for their fragrance and nutritional value. One remarkable feature of parsley is its ability to eliminate strong odors from heavy-flavored vegetables like onions and garlic by simply consuming a leaf.

Planting instructions: Whether using live plants or seedlings, ensure a successful transplant. Due to the thick, hard skin and oil glands of parsley seeds, they require soaking to promote germination. Soak seeds for 12-14 hours, rinse, gently remove the old skin, and allow to cool before sowing. Avoid planting too deeply. Sow between September and November, as parsley thrives in cold climates and can grow in all seasons except for hot summers in the southern regions. Seedlings can withstand temperatures as low as -4-5℃, while mature plants can tolerate -7-10℃ for short periods.

Field management: Plant seedlings before rain, and replace any failed transplants promptly. Seedlings typically become viable and stable within 10-15 days after planting, with a row spacing of 60 cm and plant spacing of 30 cm. Thin and weed when seedlings have 1-2 true leaves, and fertilize every other month. After 1-2 harvests, apply 10 kg of urea per mu or spray 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate for foliar feeding. In summer, mulch with grass to cool the field and prevent rain from splashing soil onto the leaves.
